Di Vaio plots Juve revenge
Thursday 6 March, 2008

Genoa striker Marco Di Vaio is ready to welcome his old club Juventus to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris this Sunday.

The 31-year-old hitman is enjoying playing alongside Serie A top scorer Marco Borriello at Marassi this season.

Juventus have lost two of their last three fixtures and risk missing out on a Champions League spot if their form doesn't improve.

“I won't settle for a draw because, as long as we have two feet, I believe we can resolve the match,” insisted Di Vaio.

“We always try our best, whatever the opponents. Certain situations will be crucial, the result will depend on the flow of the game,” explained the journeyman striker.

The former Bianconeri man, who has played for nine different clubs in his career, isn't taking anything for granted though.

“Juventus are famous for their winning spirit, they will arrive in Genoa determined,” he added.

“They will be intent on breaking and interrupting their negative run. Juve will do everything to leave the field with three points.”

Claudio Ranieri's side beat the Grifoni 1-0 when they travelled to Turin in October thanks to a strike from Alessandro Del Piero.
