| Inter fear Maicon absence |

Inter are anxiously awaiting news on an injury suffered by defensive ace Douglas Maicon while on international duty.
Maicon has become one of the first names on Jose Mourinho's teamsheet and has been amongst the Nerazzurri's most influential players of the season.
But it seems the leaders may have to do without the Brazilian for a while after he injured himself in a World Cup qualifier against Ecuador.
The 27-year-old picked up a thigh problem and was carried off after just 24 minutes in Quito when he pulled up trying to put over a cross.
“Professor Franco Combi spoke to Maicon after the injury and is waiting for news regarding its severity,” an Inter statement reads.
“The player will now undergo further examinations before the next step in decided.”
Maicon is now likely to miss out on this Sunday's game against Udinese and could even skip the crucial Derby d'Italia against Juventus.
