Catania Coach Silvio Baldini is set for the sack next week, hints President Antonino Pulvirenti.
The Sicilians have slipped down into joint penultimate place along with Parma, Livorno and Cagliari following today’s 2-1 home defeat to Torino.
“What of Baldini’s future? He seems rather stressed and I would like to talk it over with him,” said the patron.
“I appreciate and respect him, but we have never discussed his future. Now we’ll see what the situation is when we’ve all cooled down a bit.”
The Stadio Massimino supporters also turned on the squad after their loss to Torino in a relegation six-pointer.
“I would like to point out the fans cheered on their team for the entire 90 minutes and only staged a protest after the final whistle. The players gave their all and did not deserve defeat.”
