Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini has high hopes for the Rosanero and has laughed off criticisms from President Maurizio Zamparini.
The Sicilians are eighth in Serie A and firmly in the UEFA Cup race, but Ballardini is looking towards fourth place in spite of trailing Genoa by nine points.
We can finish higher up than the UEFA Cup qualification places, the former Cagliari man claimed on Sky Sport Italia.
Now that we have secured survival and we are calm, we can aim for something better.
There are still nine games left to play this season and we genuinely can aim high.
A run of good form came to an end last weekend as Palermo were embarrassed by lowly Chievo, prompting harsh words from supremo Zamparini.
Zamparini's complaints were normal, Ballardini said. It's not rare for a President to be displeased with the way his team perform.
