Fiorentina Coach Cesare Prandelli has expressed his desire to stay with the Viola for the rest of his career.
Prandelli has a contract until 2011, but is keen to renew his current deal and commit to Fiorentina for life.
To speak about a renewal now is perhaps a little premature, but let's just say the hypothesis of prolonging my contract fascinates me, Prandelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Prandelli then explained why he wants to stay even longer at the famous Tuscan club.
I last renewed my contract because I knew I had an extraordinary President, a place that loves football like no other and a project with which we can win something.
I am sure of one thing. I will stay here as long as there is this President, Prandelli said, concluding his tribute to Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle.
Prandelli later spoke about his ideas for Fiorentina, which include prioritising the development of young footballers.
The Viola have often been likened to Arsenal, but Prandelli believes his side can be compared with another club much closer to home.
Arsene Wenger cited Fiorentina as something new. He brought about a revolution and they at Arsenal have won at lot.
We need patience, though. Take the Sampdoria of Gianluca Vialli and Roberto Mancini, Prandelli said.
It was all rigorously planned. Sampdoria grew and they won. This is the plan we should copy and we can do it, he added.
Fiorentina currently lie fifth in Serie A, two points behind fourth placed Genoa with just nine games of the season remaining.
