There are reports in the peninsula that Inter's players rallied to defend Roberto Mancini after last weekends Derby dItalia defeat.
The Nerazzurri are a side in turmoil after a torrid spell that has seen them exit the Champions League and Mancini attempt to quit.
Defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Juve on Saturday saw a once huge lead at the top of Serie A reduced to just four points and has piled the pressure on Mancio.
Reports suggest that President Massimo Moratti angrily confronted the Beneamata tactician after the derby, but that the dressing room united to defend their leader.
There have been a number of reported spats between Mancio and his players lately and he is believed to be on poor terms with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and Hernan Crespo.
However, it seems that the players were willing to rally round their embattled tactician in a time of crisis.
In spite of this alleged show of support, the rumour mill is still working overtime and the nations Press insist that a meeting with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is imminent.
Mourinho is looking to restart his career at one of Europes biggest clubs and is said to be top of Morattis wish list due to his Champions League victory with Porto.
