| Advocaat: Udinese for the Final |
Friday 20 March, 2009 |
|
Zenit St Petersburg Coach Dick Advocaat believes Udinese can reach the UEFA Cup Final.
The Russian holders beat Udinese 1-0 at the Petrovsky Stadium, but two late goals in the first leg made the difference for the Friulani.
We are obviously disappointed to be eliminated at this stage of the competition, Advocaat told UEFA.com.
But we were outplayed by a great team in Udinese - a team that could make it to the Final in my opinion.
That really is not an impossible objective for them because tonight, and last week as well, they have proven that they have a number of great players.
All I can do is congratulate Pasquale Marino and his side and wish them all the best.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup takes place tomorrow morning and there will be no seeding.
