Lecce face an uphill struggle against Udinese, so Mario Beretta rallies the troops for a Friuli upset.
“Naturally our mood was not the best during this week,” said the Coach after a 2-0 home defeat to Lazio.
“We analysed what happened in that game and certain mistakes were made. We put in a very poor performance.
“Now we must make the most of those negative experiences by learning from them. It is crucial that we concentrate on the next game with Udinese.”
Beretta denied their was a tactical cause to their downturn, which has seen them slide into the bottom three.
“During the week we tried a different system, but I must point out that tactics are important without necessarily being decisive.
“What really counts is the collective and individual performances the mentality and spirit the players show on the field.
“We are a point behind the safety zone and the teams fighting not to go down are all there in a big group,” continued the Coach.
“Clearly the ideal would be outside the bottom three, but as I have said many times before, it will be a struggle right to the final match.”
