| Lavezzi reiterates desire to stay |

Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi has once again reiterated his desire to stay at the club, as interest from Liverpool evaporates.
The versatile 24-year-old attacker recently made public his unhappiness with the way Napoli have treated him in recent weeks.
He wrote an open letter to the club, explaining his problem was not with the team and its fans, but with the directors, who have not kept their promises to him.
“They know my telephone number, but no one has called me yet,” Lavezzi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Yes, Donadoni and I have been in contact, but don't ask what we said to each other. I prefer to keep that to myself. I also hear from some of my teammates.”
When confronted with the fact some Napoli fans feel he has betrayed them, Lavezzi replied: “Yes, but I want to clarify one thing.
“I have not run away, I have not tried to escape. I have only taken a decision. If the people want me well they have to respect it and understand me.
“I have not gone away for money or because I am not well in the city. I want to return to play for Napoli, but things have to be put right.
“I don't have a problem with anyone, neither with Pierpaolo Marino nor with Aurelio De Laurentiis, but they gave me their word and I ask that it comes to be respected.
“I know very well that some are against me and some are in favour of me. I only ask that my decision be respected.
“I am a footballer and I am lucky for the privileges and the earnings, but football isn't everything,” Lavezzi concluded. “I prefer to be happy in another way.”
According to his representatives, Liverpool were interested in giving Lavezzi a new challenge.
However, yesterday the Reds' chief scout sent La Gazzetta dello Sport an email denying the reports.
“Liverpool are not interested in Lavezzi and there will not be an offer,” the email read.
