| Viola chase midfield duo |

Fiorentina are looking to strengthen their squad for next season with a number of players, such as Edgar Barreto and Edinho.
The midfield duo, playing respectively for Reggina and Lecce, should come in cheap considering that their sides have been relegated this season.
Director Pantaleo Corvino is also trying to find enough cover in case Felipe Melo decides to leave the Franchi to join Inter.
Edgar would be really happy to move to Florence as it would allow him to play in the Champions League, noted Barretos agent, Riccardo Calleri.
I believe President Lillo Foti would allow him to leave for a big club so there should be no problem and we are now waiting for the Viola to make a move.
Regarding the price tag something between £5 and £7m should be about right, but as I said there is no agreement yet.
Edinho is another interesting option for the Gigliati. The Brazilian midfielder moved to Serie A last January after a spell at International of Porto Alegre.
His contract with Lecce expires in 2014 but Corvino could use his contacts over there to find a way out.
Meanwhile, Sampdoria defender Hugo Campagnaro, who looked close to a Fiorentina switch, has received offers from Napoli and Roma so his transfer to Florence may fall through.
