Gaetano D’Agostino makes his Azzurri debut tonight and Udinese are demanding Sebastian Giovinco to pry him away.
“It is true that Juve are interested in D’Agostino, but concrete proposals have not yet been offered,” President Giampaolo Pozzo told TeleNordest.
“In any case, we are not interested in receiving cash. What we would like to bring in are player exchanges.
“If Juve want him, then they must put on the plate two from this list: Giovinco, Claudio Marchisio and Paolo De Ceglie. It will be a very tough battle.”
The creative midfielder is a product of the Roma youth system and was once considered the new Francesco Totti, but at Udinese was revamped as a deep-lying playmaker.
Now the player who just turned 27 this week is on the transfer wish-list for the Bianconeri.
“He is one of the best midfielders in Europe and is younger than Andrea Pirlo, so his value is around £28m.”
D’Agostino is set to be in the starting XI for this evening’s Italy friendly against Northern Ireland at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa.
