Luca Toni has absolutely no intention of leaving Bayern Munich this summer, despite being out of favour.
The German giants have signed two more strikers in the offseason, namely Hamburg's Ivica Olic and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez.
Toni has endured a difficult year. He was disappointing in last summer's European Championship and only scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
I stay loyal to Bayern Munich. I am an important player in a successful team. Why should I change? Toni asked.
I am well here. Bayern are all that I want at the moment. Another year awaits me with great prospects in the Bundesliga but also in the Champions League.
There is not a No 3 or a No 1. The Coach will decide, Toni said, referring to the competition he will face up front next season.
Gomez and Olic will give the team strong support. I believe that it was a wise decision to take them.
As for me, Bayern knows what I can give. I will train myself even harder. At the moment, Bayern have a good chance of playing at the highest level in Europe, Toni concluded.
