Jose Fuentes, the agent of Luis Fabiano, has tried to tempt Milan into signing his client by comparing him with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Milan are in the market for a target man and while they have so far focused their efforts on Edin Dzeko, problems in that deal might just force them to look elsewhere.
Fabiano was a key component in the Brazil side that won the Confederations Cup, scoring five goals, two of which came against Italy.
On being asked why Milan should consider signing Fabiano, Fuentes replied: “Because he is on the same level as Ibrahimovic, David Villa, Emmanuel Adebayor and others.
“In short, he is on the same plain as the best strikers in the world, but I have had no signals from Milan. I haven't had any contact with the Rossoneri.
“For now, their official interest doesn't exist,” he told Sky Sport 24
“No one can say that they wouldn't willingly go to Milan, one of the biggest clubs in the world. It would be wonderful for every footballer to play in a team of this kind.
“He has a buyout clause of £25m, but Sevilla could also negotiate this price seeing the general economic situation,” Fuentes concluded.
