Livorno playmaker Alessandro Diamanti is flattered by reports linking him with a move to Italian champions Inter.
Yesterday, La Gazzetta dello Sport ran a story claiming Inter want to make themselves more Italian by signing Diamanti.
The 26-year-old inspired Livorno to victory in the Serie B Playoff Final earlier this month and scored 17 goals last season.
Last week, Livorno President Aldo Spinelli confirmed a big team had come in with an offer for him.
However, Spinelli is reluctant to let his star go and has slapped a £10m price tag on Diamanti, who was playing in Serie C not too long ago.
It's a lot, a little too much in a moment of crisis like this. Perhaps, Spinelli says so because he likes me a lot, Diamanti told Il Corriere dello Sport.
Thinking about playing for Inter is a dream, but in my career I have also cashed so many disappointments.
I will see myself in a big team only after having signed the contract, not before, he added.
On being asked if he feels ready to play for a team like Inter, Diamanti replied: I like challenges.
Finally, he gave his opinions on Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Mourinho is an incredible character and a great trainer. Ibrahimovic is the best player in Serie A together with Pato, Diamanti concluded.
