Brazilian striker Adriano has warned his former Inter teammate Mario Balotelli he will only be a great player if he gets his head straight.
The 27-year-old, who now plays for Flamengo, had something of a breakdown in April and left Inter to return to Brazil.
He had alleged problems with alcohol and let partying get in the way of his football, often turning up late for training.
Balotelli will be a great player if he puts his head in place, Adriano told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 18-year-old striker has sparked a lot of controversy in Italy.
He has a high opinion of himself and is renowned for his gamesmanship.
Balotelli also has a bit of a temper and was recently sent off in the European Under-21 Championship.
Moving on, Adriano gave his thoughts on Inter as a whole.
I rarely follow the reports that come from Italy
but with Thiago Motta and hopefully Felipe Melo, Inter can have a great season.
On top of winning the Scudetto, Inter are also in a position to focus on the Champions League.
Last season, we lacked a little experience. We played well in the game against the English, but then we were a little nervous in the second leg and Manchester United showed themselves to be superior.
Of all the trainers I have had up until now, Jose Mourinho was the best. I learnt a lot from him and I have not forgotten that already in 2008 he was against my sale, Adriano concluded.
