Genoa sign Ranocchia	Friday 26 June, 2009

Genoa have formally announced the signing of Arezzo and Italy Under-21 defender Andrea Ranocchia. Genoa did already own 50 per cent of the 21-year-old but have now bought the rest of his contract from Arezzo. He spent last season on loan with Bari, who he helped win promotion to Serie A. Ranocchia is one of Italy's most promising centre-backs. He is currently on international duty with the Azzurrini at the European Under-21 Championship.
