| Viola close in on Drenthe |

Fiorentina director of sport Pantaleo Corvino expects to conclude a deal for Real Madrid defender Royston Drenthe next week.
The Viola have been linked with a move for Drenthe since Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid President, made a number of players available to fund his ambitious summer spending spree.
According to Corvino, there are still a few details to iron out before Drenthe puts pen to paper on a deal that will see him move to Fiorentina on loan.
The Viola will then have the right to buy him once his loan deal expires at the end of next season.
“Drenthe is our idea. We have spoken with Real Madrid and we are agreed. They accepted our proposal of a loan,” Corvino told Sky Italia.
“The player is aware of it and he has not said no. We are looking to reduce the asking price. Hopefully we'll conclude the deal next week,” he concluded.
