Raffaele Palladino will stay at Marassi for another year after Genoa and Juventus agreed to extend their part-ownership arrangement.
The two clubs each have a 50 per cent stake in Palladino and, rather than buy him outright, decided to extend their agreement until next summer when it will be reviewed again.
Palladino came into his own for Genoa towards the end of last season.
The 25-year-old second striker scored three goals in 28 appearances for the Grifone.
His performances helped Genoa achieve a surprising fifth place finish in Serie A.
Juventus have also come to an agreement with Palermo to prolong their part-ownership of Davide Lanzafame.
A similar deal has been done with Mantova for Andre Cuneaz.
