Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani insists Andrea Pirlo is not for sale and still holds out hope of signing Edin Dzeko.
Carlo Ancelotti, the former Milan boss, is apparently doing everything to sign Pirlo for his new club Chelsea.
There has not been a single request. He is absolutely unsellable because 'unsellability' is born when there are no proposals, Galliani said.
The only proposal we received was from England and it was a monstrous proposal for Alexandre Pato. I won't say from who, but we refused it.
Staying on the subject of Pato, Galliani spoke of his happiness at hearing the Brazilian say he wants to win the Champions League with Milan.
I am absolutely content with his words, but for me there were no doubts. We'll start again from him, Galliani explained.
He is 20 and there isn't a player in the world as strong as him at his age.
Turning to Dzeko, Galliani admitted there are significant obstacles to cross before a deal is done.
Wolfsburg have absolutely no intention of selling the 23-year-old striker despite his desire to leave for Milan.
He is a Wolfsburg player. If they call me to speak about him I'll spring up [in surprise]. Keeping him is their right, but he has expressed and continues to express his desire to come to Milan.
From experience I can say that it is difficult to deal with a player against his will, Galliani added.
On hearing how Luis Fabiano and Cesc Fabregas recently said they would like to join Milan, Galliani replied: I thank them again for their wonderful words about Milan.
However, we are only looking for a striker and the objective is Dzeko. If we don't succeed, Fabiano could be an alternative, as could Emmanuel Adebayor eventually.
I had a chat with Arsene Wenger, but they have not offered him. In the case that he comes up for sale we will speak again, he concluded.
