Serie B side Ascoli have appointed Nello Di Costanzo as their Coach for the 2008-09 season.
After securing unexpected Serie A survival in 2005-06, Ascoli plummeted back to the Second Division in the summer of 2007.
Former Frosinone tactician Ivo Iaconi was charged with the task of bringing the Woodpeckers back to the top flight, but the Piceni languished in mid-table and a late push proved too little too late.
After deciding to part company with Iaconi, Ascoli have turned to Di Costanzo, who led Messina to mid-table mediocrity last time around.
