Defender Matteo Ferrari has severed ties with Roma and his future could be at either Fiorentina or Milan.
The former Everton stopper made a respectable contribution to the Giallorossis successful campaign last term, but he isnt satisfied playing a back-up role.
With his contract expiring this summer, Ferrari is ready to find a new challenge, but his destination is still unclear.
It was our choice to change clubs, agent Gianni Corci said on Teleradiostereo.
I want to silence the voices that are suggesting that Roma wanted rid of the player.
The Giallorossi made us a very good four-year offer, but there was a discussion and we decided to go down a different path. Matteo will leave the club on excellent terms.
Talks with Fiorentina and Milan are underway and by the end of this week or the start of next week I expect news.
At the moment I would say that Ferrari wont be going abroad, even if there is a contract waiting to be signed.
As well as not wanting to slip out of Azzurri contention, Matteo doesnt have a great desire to leave Italy.
