Roma midfielder Matteo Brighi is still waiting for contract talks, according to his agent Vanni Puzzolo.
The 28-year-old was arguably the Giallorossi's best player last season.
In January he was linked with a move to Milan and now appears to be attracting interest from Fiorentina.
For now, there hasn't been a meeting between ourselves and Roma because at the moment the club are defining the passage of ownership, Puzzolo said.
Roma are currently the subject of a takeover bid from Vinicio Fioranelli, a football agent heading a Swiss group of investors.
I believe that this is the reason for the meeting's delay. Everything will be sorted out when we meet and speak about Matteo's future.
On being asked about Fiorentina's interest, Puzzolo replied: At the moment there is nothing new to say.
The situation is on stand-by until the settlement of the new owner is officially announced, he concluded.
