Pandev wants to go
Tuesday 23 June, 2009

Lazio striker Goran Pandev wants to leave the Olimpico but the Biancocelesti won’t sell him for less than £15m, according to sporting director Igli Tare.

The Macedonian has been tracked by Juventus and Napoli. While the Bianconeri no longer appear interested the Azzurri would be willing to make an offer.

“Pandev wants to go but we cannot afford to give him away for a cheap price,” said Tare.

“Napoli paid around £15m for Fabio Quagliarella and our player is not worth less than that. The price tag is about the same but the Campani haven’t made a formal offer yet.

“We are just waiting for a good offer to come in but at this stage I cannot give percentages regarding the transfer. Kaka for instance left Milan in a matter of days,” concluded the Albanian.

To replace Pandev, the Laziali would be willing to sign Robert Acquafresca but before making an offer they need to sell their 26-year-old forward.

Acquafresca is currently negotiating with Juventus, Parma and Atalanta so the Biancocelesti need to move fast.
