Bayern Munich are ready to sell Italy striker Luca Toni, according to German daily newspaper Bild Zeitung.
The 32-year-old is apparently surplus to requirements, as new boss Louis van Gaal wants Mario Gomez and Miroslav Klose to lead his forward line.
The Bayern directors are ready to sell Toni, notwithstanding the fact his contract expires in 2011, Bild writes.
After having spent £43m on new players a sale could carry a little money back into the accounts.
Toni has been linked with a move to European champions Barcelona where his former Brescia teammate Pep Guardiola is in charge.
However, a return to Italy is more likely where several teams are reportedly interested in his signature, most notably Milan.
Toni has endured a difficult year. He was poor in the European Championship last summer and only scored 18 goals for Bayern this season, which is disappointing by his standards.
The former European Golden Boot winner suffered at the Confederations Cup and only started one game in which he was substituted soon after half time.
