Roma could sacrifice Mirko Vucinic on the transfer market this summer with Manchester United said to be keen.
The Giallorossi have a habit of selling one of their big players every summer to help with finances and it would be the Montenegro internationals turn this time around.
After transferring Cristian Chivu and Amantino Mancini to Inter over the last two summers, the capital club are apparently ready to reluctantly wave goodbye to their striker.
Coach Luciano Spalletti is understood to have told club officials that Philippe Mexes and Juan must not be sold despite the defensive duo having good market value.
Whispers in the peninsula on Thursday claim that Sir Alex Ferguson likes the versatile attacker and could be about to spend some of the £80m they netted from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Although a player who is rather inconsistent in front of goal, Vucinic has the qualities that United like and theyre willing to spend £20m.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are said to be keen on landing Daniele De Rossi who scored in Italys 3-1 win over USA on Monday.
A long-term target for the Spanish giants, the Roman is unlikely to move after pledging his future to his hometown club on more than one occasion.
