According to the Daily Mirror Gennaro Gattuso has pleaded with his former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
The former Rangers midfielder has realised his best days at Milan are over and would be enthusiastic about taking on a new challenge.
Chelsea come and get me, I am perfect for the Premier League, the Italian international claimed.
I love the Premier League because it suits my style but I dont know what will happen yet. I have been at Milan for a long time and it is difficult to leave. We will have to see.
Gattuso was in the past close to a Manchester United switch but Milan have always opted to keep hold of him. But now that the club is set for a mini-revolution Ringhio could be shown the exit.
Chelsea are one of the greatest teams in the world. I have worked under Ancelotti for over eight years and to me he is like a father, concluded Gattuso.
The Rossonero has two years left on his contract but could free himself for a relatively cheap price tag, somewhere in the region of £5m.
