Siena will stick with Marco Giampaolo next season despite his tendency to flirt with other clubs, namely Palermo and Torino.
The 41-year-old fell foul of the Robur earlier this month when he apparently tried to convince some of the club's players to leave with him.
Siena want to start again with Marco Giampaolo. We strongly believed in him last year even when the town wanted Mario Beretta, the club's director of sport, Manuel Gerolin, said.
We agreed that his contract would be resolved if a big club were to come and ask for him. Contact with Juventus was never made concrete.
We believe Torino did not represent a jump in class, so Giampaolo will stay on as the trainer of Siena, Gerolin explained.
When asked if there is still a rift between Giampaolo and the club's President, Gerolin replied: I am convinced we can patch things up.
Siena can start again with Giampaolo. He is now on holiday. When he returns we will understand the situation better.
Otherwise we will analyse things again. There are a lot of trainers around, Gerolin concluded.
