| Campagnaro to sign for Napoli |
Wednesday 10 June, 2009 |
|
Sampdoria defender Hugo Campagnaro looks set to become the latest player to join Napoli, following Luca Cigarini and Fabio Quagliarella.
The 29-year-old Argentine, who has been in Italy for six years, will cost £5m and Sampdoria will also get 50 per cent of Daniele Mannini in return.
Napoli had been preparing a bid for Udinese centre-back Cristian Zapata, but the Colombian has a lot of high profile suitors and could end up costing a lot of money.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, a Press conference formally announcing the signing of Campagnaro will be held later today.
By all reports, the Partenopei are not finished in the transfer market just yet and a bid for Antonio Di Natale is said to be imminent.
