Luis Figo could make a shock return to football just weeks after retiring from Inter, according to Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp.
The Portuguese veteran hung up his boots at the end of the season when celebrating the Scudetto at San Siro.
However, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, a U-Turn for the Premier League is on the cards.
"We talked, since he is obviously a great friend of Sir Bobby Robson,” Portsmouth manager Redknapp was quoted as saying.
“Obviously we talked about football and he told me he had not yet decided anything about his future."
The pair met in the Algarve during the Sir Bobby Robson Golf Classic tournament.
It would not be the first time Figo changed his mind, as he was also set to retire a year ago before opting to carry on with Inter.
