Ronaldinho insists the departure of Kaka “does not affect me” or his status at Milan, as he targets a 2010 World Cup spot.
Following the £60m sale to Real Madrid, President Silvio Berlusconi said that the new team would focus more on Dinho for the next season.
“Kaka’s departure does not affect me personally,” the player told the Corriere dello Sport.
“He is no longer with us, but my responsibilities within the team do not change.”
His first Serie A campaign was disappointing with recent spells on the bench, but he hopes to improve under new boss Leonardo.
“My objective is to win with Milan. We want to conquer the Champions League. On a personal level, by playing a great season I can win back my place in the Selecao and be a protagonist at the World Cup.”
