Royston Drenthe remains the most likely Real Madrid player to move to Italy, as negotiations with Fiorentina reach their conclusion.
The Viola's director of sport Pantaleo Corvino has offered to loan the 22-year-old until next summer when a fee of £7.7m will be paid.
Reports claim Drenthe is happy with the proposal and a deal should go through early next week.
The Dutch international joined Real from Feyenoord in 2007 for £12m.
However, despite scoring a screamer against Sevilla on his debut in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup, things haven't gone as planned for Drenthe.
He made just 25 appearances for Los Merengues last season and failed to get himself on the scoresheet.
