D'Ago has other offers
Thursday 2 July, 2009

The chances of Juventus signing Udinese midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino are growing more distant by the hour as he apparently has other offers.

A deal for the 27-year-old Italy international broke down late last week after Juventus failed to meet Udinese's asking price.

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli believes a transfer can still be done, but comments made this morning by Udinese director of sport Sergio Gasparin suggest it will be tough.

“The positions are the same as 15 days ago and in the next few days there are no meetings scheduled,” Gasparin said.

“We have had other requests for D'Agostino. Not on Milan's behalf and, in recent times, not on Inter's behalf either.

Earlier today, the Spanish Press claimed Liverpool are among the clubs interested in D'Agostino.

Asked if Udinese would sell D'Agostino by July 6, Gasparin replied: “Pozzo said this date because the team meets on Monday, but I repeat for the moment there is nothing and if he stays we are happy.”

In other news, Gasparin confirmed Parma have made an approach for Antonio Di Natale.

“There has been contact and there is interest for a deal, but nothing has yet been done,” he concluded.
