Lazio tactician Delio Rossi has begged the club not to sell stars Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma.
The Coach has had several very public disagreements with President Claudio Lotito over transfer policy this summer.
“I spoke to Lotito after the match because I hadn’t seen him for two months,” revealed Rossi following the 3-0 friendly win over Padova last night.
“When it comes to Ledesma and Pandev, I must say they are two excellent players who must thank Lazio for having put their names on the map.
“They have become very important players for this team and Lazio must not deprive themselves of figures like this.”
Both players have repeatedly complained at delays over their contract renewals and threatened to walk out for a cut-price fee using Article 17 next summer.
Valon Behrami had made similar warnings before he completed his transfer to West Ham United earlier this week.
Pandev has been linked with Bayern Munich, while Argentine midfielder Ledesma is of interest to Fiorentina and Inter.
