French midfielder Olivier Dacourt is certain that Inter are the strongest side in Italy and doesnt fear competition for places under Jose Mourinho.
The former Roma man missed most of last season after tearing a cruciate ligament in his knee last December.
But Dacourt is back in training in Brunico and is enjoying the start of the Mourinho era.
When a new Coach arrives everything starts from zero and everyone wants to show that they are good, the 33-year-old stressed. Its a natural thing.
Inter have been chasing Chelsea star Frank Lampard for the midfield and are also being linked with Sulley Muntari, but Dacourt expects to hold his own.
Its just a part of our job, he said. It was like that for us before Mourinho arrived.
However, at the end of the day the more good players we have the better it is for us.
Milan have been in the media spotlight recently after swooping for Ronaldinho, but Dacourt is convinced that the Beneamata are a stronger side.
You can talk about the Rossoneri making a great coup, but if you dont win anything then you have failed, he snarled.
The derby will be a great game because both sides will be trying to prove that they are superior. But we won the title last year and so we can say that we are the best.
