Milan: Chelsea can forget Kaka
Saturday 19 July, 2008

Milan have released an official statement declaring Kaka is “not for sale” after reports of Chelsea’s £80m offer.

The Brazilian has long been a target for Chelsea and Real Madrid, but the Rossoneri have always waved away all bids.

“Kaka is absolutely not for sale,” reiterated director of communication Vittorio Mentana on the official Milan website.

The denial came after reports this morning in both The Guardian and Spanish newspaper Sport alleging the two clubs were in negotiations.

"Real Madrid offered 90m Euros last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kaka's personal assistant Diogo Kotscho was quoted as saying in Globoesporte and The Guardian.

"This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen. Because of the (financial) situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved.”
