Torino boss Gianni De Biasi has warned the club he needs at least another three players before his team can be competitive.
The fans and star player Alessandro Rosina have publicly complained at the lack of transfer activity from Granata President Urbano Cairo.
“We have an agreement with the club to make a few small adjustments to the squad. For the moment we will see what happens during pre-season training,” explained De Biasi.
“We need a defender, a midfielder and another striker. Stefano Mauri is a player that I like, but I don’t know how feasible this option really is for us.”
President Cairo has already pointed out money is tight for Torino this summer and once again they face a battle to avoid relegation.
“It is going to be a balanced Serie A championship, especially in the bottom half of the table,” continued the Coach.
“Aside from the big clubs, the surprise could be Sampdoria, although I consider them already consolidated and the same goes for Genoa with their new signings.
“At this stage I’d say Chievo, who could amaze the same way they did in their first top flight campaign with Gigi Del Neri.”
