The Jose Mourinho era has begun at Inter and captain Javier Zanetti was in an upbeat mood on the first day of pre-season training.
While the red and black half of Milan is fascinated by the arrival of Ronaldinho, the Beneamata faithful are more interested in the Special Ones first day of work.
The champions started their 2008-09 preparations at 8am this morning with fitness tests and Zanetti was pleased with what he saw.
We have new motivation and renewed enthusiasm, the Inter skipper said.
We want to get going and we are hoping that everything goes well. We just need to prepare as well as possible.
I am expecting a difficult season with lots of important challenges. But the club have done what was necessary in the market to keep this team at the top.
It will be a tough Serie A season as ever, but we are able to stay at the summit of football.
Inters first pre-season friendly is on July 24 in Brunico before Mourinhos men host Bari and fight Juventus and Milan for the Trofeo TIM.
