The future of Inter outcast Alvaro Recoba could lie in Brazil as Internacional have displayed an interest in the Uruguayan international.
Recobas career needs a jump-start after stalling terribly over the last few seasons.
El Chino hoped that a loan spell at Torino last season would allow him to prove his worth after slipping down the hierarchy at Inter, but instead he managed just one goal in 22 games.
The 32-year-olds contract with Inter expired this summer, leaving him to look for a new employer as he tries to rediscover his form and regain his place in Uruguays national side ahead of the 2010 World Cup.
Internacional President Vittorio Piffero has reportedly expressed interest in the misfiring forward and Recoba is expected to travel to Brazil shortly to discuss the possibility of a move to Porto Alegre.
Recoba scored 53 goals in 176 games for the Nerazzurri and has been in Italy since 1997 when he arrived from hometown club Nacional Montevideo.
