Cagliari striker Robert Acquafresca is living a dream by travelling to the Olympics and hopes to wear the Inter shirt one day.
Acquafresca emerged as a striking star last year when he fired 10 goals for Cagliari in his first Serie A campaign.
The young gun of Polish origin is currently co-owned by Inter, but will spend next season at the Stadio SantElia after he has represented his country in China.
I was honoured when Poland approached me to play at Euro 2008, but I chose Italy without any hesitation and I think I deserve the Azzurri shirt, Acquafresca explained.
For me, participating at an Olympics is the realisation of a dream and I just cant wait.
While Acquafresca accepts that he isnt ready for Inters first team yet, it is a target that he is working towards.
Cagliari is a springboard, he said. I want to thank the club for letting me grow.
But one day I am hoping to arrive at Inter that is my objective and my dream.
