Zola's Frank warning for Inter
Thursday 10 July, 2008

Italian ex-Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has warned Inter that it will be tough to steal Frank Lampard away from Stamford Bridge.

Lampard’s flirtation with the Nerazzurri has been the major talking point of the summer market.

The England international seems keen to leave Chelsea against the club’s wishes in order to link up with former boss Jose Mourinho.

However, two Inter bids have been rejected and Azzurrini assistant Coach Zola thinks they are facing an uphill struggle.

“It will be hard for the Beneamata to sign Frank,” Zola insisted.

“I don’t know whether Inter will really be able to get Lampard because it all depends on Chelsea’s will to sell him and the player’s desire to leave.

“This seems like a difficult operation to say the least.”
