Roma star Amantino Mancini could be just hours away from joining Inter as the two clubs plan to meet later today.
After a meeting between Giallorossi sporting director Daniele Pradè and Beneamata opposite number Marco Branca yesterday an agreement is close.
Inter technical director Gabriele Oriali is due to arrive in the capital this afternoon and Mancinis agent Gilmar Veloz is also in Italy to finalise personal terms to allow talented Brazilian Mancini to wear the Nerazzurri shirt.
Roma are expected to receive around £10m and Mancini will sign a contract worth £2m per year.
For now I am a Roma player, Mancini told the Corriere dello Sport. But the Giallorossi have given the go-ahead for me to leave and are talking to Inter.
Why do I want to play for Inter? Because they are a great club with important players and champions who can make a difference at any time.
They have won the last few titles and when a club with such ambition wants you, you are inevitably flattered. Its nice to be wanted by them.
Inter have reportedly given up on Portuguese ace Ricardo Quaresma after finding his price tag to be unreasonable.
