Beckham 'won't extend Milan stay'
Friday 9 January, 2009

David Beckham’s spokesman has ruled out a permanent move to Milan after former LA Galaxy chief Alexi Lalas’ comments.

Ex-general manager Lalas suggested today that despite a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between the clubs for a return to the MLS on March 9, he “would be worried about Beckham’s future” if still at Galaxy.

The England international’s spokesman was quick to dispel the already existing rumours that he is looking for a way to extend the loan spell at San Siro.

“Whilst we respect Alexi's right to an opinion, he has not been party to any contractual discussions on the loan agreement to Milan,” insisted spokesman Simon Oliveira.

"As David has said recently, he will be back in the US for March 9 and with LA Galaxy for the start of the MLS season."

Beckham is expected to make his Serie A debut on Sunday evening against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
