| Carletto: Becks did well |

Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with David Beckham's Milan debut against Hamburg and was glad to see some injured players return to action.
The Rossoneri were unconvincing as they struggled to a penalty shoot-out win over their Bundesliga opponents in Dubai.
Hamburg dominated the first period and deserved better than a 1-1 draw. Beckham played the first 45 minutes and made a reasonable contribution without excelling.
Beckham played well and he did what he was asked to do, Ancelotti told Calciomercato.
It was certainly hard to expect him to have a great game when he had only been training with us for eight days.
A number of players were back after recovering from injuries during the Christmas break.
I was happy to be able to play some players who needed game time to reach perfect condition, Carletto continued.
It was good to see Philippe Senderos, Mathieu Flamini and Andrea Pirlo out there and the hard work in general will pay off.
Milan restart their Serie A campaign by taking on Roma this weekend.
