Azzurri goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is set to start for Juventus in this evening's friendly against Monaco.
The Old Lady kick off 2009 by playing Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in Messina and a crowd of over 20,000 is expected at the Stadio San Filippo.
According to Tuttosport, Claudio Ranieri is ready to hand Buffon the gloves for tonight's test after three months out injured.
Juve face Siena in this weekend's Serie A encounter and Ranieri wants Buffon to be in the right shape to start.
Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen is available after a long period on the sidelines and Hasan Salihamidzic is also ready to play after shaking off a virus.
Giorgio Chiellini will be rested due to a muscular strain, while Tiago Mendes, Mauro Camoranesi, David Trezeguet and Dario Knezevic have been left in Turin.
