Luciano Spalletti assures that professionalism and attention to detail will always be the cornerstones of his Roma reign.
The Giallorossi were famed for lacking discipline in the days before and after Fabio Capello was at the helm, but their current Coach seems to have found a way to calm his squad down.
“Professionalism is the centre of everything and we will always give the utmost effort,” said Spalletti on Roma Channel.
“Attention to detail is also fundamental and as a consequence of those elements the results will come eventually.”
Roma had a disastrous start to the season, but have qualified for the next phase of the Champions League where they will face Arsenal.
There is good news from the treatment room, as captain Francesco Totti could recover in time for those games following scans on his thigh strain.
In Serie A they are nine points off fourth place, but still have a game in hand to be played against Sampdoria on January 14, as it was rained off in November.
The new year will kick off with a high-profile showdown with Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on January 11, but Spalletti cannot help looking back at 2008 with a hint of sadness.
“We will always carry with us the loss of President Franco Sensi. He is a man who will remain in the history of this club and the city, as he gave them so much.
“He will also help us in the future, even if he is not physically present anymore.”
Sensi died on August 17, 2008 and his daughter Rosella took over the club, becoming Serie A’s first ever female President.
