Milan’s search for a left-back continues with reports of a bid for Deportivo La Coruna’s Mexican international Andres Guardado.
The petite but pacy 22-year-old can play either in defence or on the left side of midfield and would rejuvenate the ageing Rossoneri squad.
“In the summer I would like to evaluate the options that are opening up for me with regards to playing for a big club,” said Jose Andres Guardado Hernandez in newspaper La Opinion.
In Spain the media has spoken of scouts from the likes of Manchester United, Milan and Arsenal watching him at Deportivo.
Guardado made his international debut after only nine top-flight games in Mexico and was in the 2006 World Cup squad.
He joined Deportivo La Coruna for 7m Euros in the summer of 2007 and scored his first La Liga goal to secure a win over Betis in September.
Guardado was recently voted Deportivo Player of the Year and has a blistering shot from distance.
