Roma lose Francesco Totti for the trip to Reggina, but officially sign Lecce defender Souleymane Diamoutene.
The captain made his comeback following a thigh strain in the midweek victory against Palermo, ending a month-long lay-off.
However, he has not even been called up for Sunday’s match in Calabria, as he is suffering from a back problem.
Julio Baptista is also left out of the squad due to a shoulder injury, while John Arne Riise and Simone Perrotta are sidelined.
Meanwhile, Roma have officially signed Mali defender Diamoutene from Lecce, announced a statement on the club website.
Diamoutene is seen as a replacement for Christian Panucci, as he can play at centre-back or in a full-back position.
The 24-year-old arrives on loan for £100,000 with an option to buy at the end of the season for a further £2.7m.
Due to the shortage of defenders in the Roma squad at the moment, Diamoutene is right in Luciano Spalletti’s list for this Sunday afternoon’s game with Reggina.
He first arrived in Italy in 1999 as part of Udinese’s youth squad and has gone on to play for Lucchese, Perugia and Lecce.
