Philippe Senderos only made his Serie A debut for Milan two weeks ago, but is confident his injury woes are behind him.
The 23-year-old former Arsenal man was picked up in the summer to shore up the ageing defence, but has been sidelined by a series of fitness problems.
“I feel better and I hope the Coach also notices I am slowly returning to my usual levels,” he told the official Milan website.
“I hope to have other opportunities to prove my worth. In order to be secure on the field, a defender must have two or three games to get his rhythm.
“I would love to have the opportunity to step on to the pitch in a few more ties so that I can become completely match fit.”
Senderos only made his Serie A debut as a substitute for David Beckham in the 1-0 victory over Fiorentina on January 17.
He has now made three top flight appearances in Italy only one in the starting XI and expects to feature on Sunday night against Lazio.
This is because Paolo Maldini and Mathieu Flamini are suspended, while Kakha Kaladze and Alessandro Nesta are injured.
Daniele Bonera resumed training, but is in doubt with a flu virus.
