| Samp swoop for Ferri |

Sampdoria have strengthened their back line with the signature of Cagliari defender Michele Ferri.
The Blucerchiati have had a disappointing season and are languishing in 15th place in spite of their UEFA Cup qualification aspirations.
After the addition of Giampaolo Pazzini to galvanise the attacking ranks, Ferri has been brought in to sure up an unconvincing defensive line.
The 27-year-old, who developed in Milan's youth academy, has spent the last three seasons with Cagliari.
Before joining the Rossoblu, Ferri also represented Cesena, Triestina and Palermo.
Walter Mazzarri will use Ferri to cover for injured stoppers Pietro Accardi, Hugo Campagnaro and Andrea Raggi.
