Italy's World Cup 2010 qualifier against the Republic of Ireland will be held at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari.
Former Azzurri Coach Giovanni Trapattoni will take on his former side and native country in Apulia.
Italy are top of qualifying group 8 with four wins and three draws, but Ireland are hot on their heels with seven points to their name.
A win for the world champions on April Fools' Day would be invaluable for Lippi's men and it has been confirmed that the fixture will be played at the ground that hosted the 1991 European Cup Final.
