Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso hopes his teammates can triumph on the domestic and European stage without him.
Gattuso is out for the rest of the season after damaging his knee ligaments during December's game against Catania.
But Ringhio still expects the Rossoneri to succeed in his absence and was in an upbeat mood at training in Dubai today.
“It's hard to know that I won't be there to help, but I will be supporting my team all the way,” Gattuso said on the Milan Channel.
“I would be very proud if we managed to get through to the Final in Istanbul - it would be a source of great satisfaction.
“Even if I can't be out there, I will be pitch-side to give any help I can and to help my teammates in any way I can.
“I think 2009 can be they year we win the Scudetto, which we haven't won since 2004.”
